ELECTROLIT'S FESTIVAL POPUP

In collaboration with design and fabrication outfit Graphico, I was tasked with supporting the technical design team in detailing and executing Electrolit’s traveling festival activation that would be showcased for a summer tour circuit at renowned music festivals like Coachella, Stagecoach, EDC Vegas, and Governors Ball.

My contributions to the project included consulting on technical design challenges, collaborating and transferring tight-tolerance 3D models to the other technical designers, and creating a multitude of drawing packages and CAD files that the fabrication team would use as instructions and CNC cut files to build the structure. The design of the structure itself was highly complex, consisting of multi-directional curving walls, integrated structural systems, a giant MoGraph LED wall, an elevated DJ booth, embedded LED accents, and a massive parametrically driven interior bar and backbar that allowed customers to take a break from dancing to enjoy the hydrating taste of Electrolit’s many flavors.

Further challenging the execution of this project was the fact that it was a modular and mobile activation that required the parts and pieces and building process to be streamlined and robust; enabling multiple installations and dismantling at different event locations without jeopardizing the quality of the structure.
