FACEBOOK X MKTG

For this event proposal, I served as a senior environmental designer, responsible for crafting compelling visualizations and a spatial creative strategy for Facebook’s Canada Summit.

Our team’s RFP submission drew inspiration from the theme of adventure, framing the brand and its initiatives as analogous to embarking on an expedition—an opportunity to reconnect on a human level, gain fresh perspectives, and push boundaries. The event’s broader business objective was to inspire new partners to grow, create, and innovate with Facebook as their guide.

The concept revolved around the themes of “The Great Indoors” and “The Neighborhood,” designed to evoke the spirit of adventure while blending the sophistication of modern mountain lodges with the charm of off-the-beaten-path experiences. The spaces were envisioned as sleek and contemporary, featuring ample seating, natural textures, and warm, soft color tones inspired by the first light of morning—a moment of reflection and anticipation for the day ahead.

Key elements of the attendee experience included activation areas for Ask the Experts, Community Showcase, Instagram Messenger, and Oculus. The spatial layout also incorporated multiple networking zones, thoughtfully designed to foster both group conversations and more intimate discussions, ensuring a dynamic and engaging environment.
